Asos & Primark haul

Heyyy everyone, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, I haven't been home in just over a week and I didn't take my laptop with me. I have so many posts ideas to do yay!

Just thought I'd share what I bought with you all :)

ASOS

Miss KG flat £24 - I had these for christmas which I still have but in a size 5 and they are way to small. These are a 6 and they are still to small!! My normal shoe size is a 5! So im disappointed with these, has anyone else had the same problem with Miss KG flats?

Asos shorts £18 - I love these! Because of the colour it makes me looked some much more tanned, and they don't show my bum at all, and I thought they were a really good price for Asos!

River island £55 - As soon as I seen these I feel in love with them!

Primark

Primark Mid hem dress  £18- At first I wasn't to sure about this dress, but I had seen it on a friend and it looked gorgeous! I absolutely love the colours of this dress! Considering im only 5ft2 It fits me perfectly! I bought this for when I go on holiday or shopping (when its sunny where I live, which is never!)

Primark Sandals £8 -I love these! Theres a pair in Kurt Geiger which is basically exactly the same but for £40. So I can't fault these sandals

Primark shirt £10 - My favourite part about this is the collar, and I actually wore this out the other night and I defiantly can't fault the price!

Have I found my perfect foundation?!

No7 Intelligent Balance Mousse foundation £12.50

For years and years I have been on a search for a perfect foundation, ranging from expensive to inexpensive.
I always thought because a foundation is expensive e.g £20-£40 I thought it would be good! Ohh how I was wrong.
I always try to look for something which has an air brush finished look. I have an oily T-zone, so I stay away from anything that could potentially shine. I also try to look for something that stays on for as long as possible with out touching up (I'm not a touch up through the day kind of girl)

The only brand which I've heard a lot about but have never tried, is No7, and I will defiantly be purchasing from this Brand again!

Pros:
  • This is the first foundation the I haven't had use a powder to finish the look off
  • It last literally all day!
  • Its a mousse consistency
  • my friends have purchased this and it has lasted them a good 5 months
  • Its an extremely reasonable price £12.50
  • Can build up the coverage
  • Minimises my pores
  • Has a soft velvet feel to it
  • Doesn't have a strong smell
  • Doesn't feel like I have makeup on
  • Does not make a skin break out
  • Does not go patchy/shiny
  • I have loads of compliments on how clear my skin looks.

Cons:
  • If you have dry patches of skin it does show then, its best to moisturise before apply this foundation (If you have dry skin).
  • Lack of variety in shades.
  • I dont like applying it with my fingers (I've tried a sponge and I didn't like that either).
  • Packaging is a bit of an awkward shape to get to foundation out.
  • Does not always cover red spots, but you can resolve the by using concealer.

I hope this pro's and con's list is helpful!

Here are a few foundations I've tried that I prefer No7 over.

Lacome
-Teint Idole 24 Hrs.
-Teint Miracle
- Teint Idole Silky Matte
- Photogenic Lumessence

YSL
-Perfect Touch foundation

Estee Lauder
-Double Wear

Mac
-Studio fix

Maybelline
-Dream satin liquid
-Dream matte mouse

IIamasqua
-Rich Liquid

Chanel
-Mat Lumiere

As you can tell, I've tried quite a few different foundation, and non of these have really taken my fancy. But I've heard so many good things about some foundation listed above, but sadly they just don't work for me.

Have you ever tried No7, if you have what do you think of it? I'd love to know

Pro active - isit worth the splurge ?

I mentioned before I have used proactive in the past for a couple of months, but when I ran out I didn't buy it again because 1, I thought I could find something that worked the same for cheaper. 2, I wanted to try something new and 3, I thought I could buy a few new tops with that £40!!
So I turned to good old trusted 'Simple' Gel wash and Toner, for a month it work well, a few spots here and there but nothing major. But last week my skin broke out like there was no tomorrow!! Its true that when you have clear skin you have so much more confidence, and my skin was so bad, I didn't really feel like going out any where.
This made me realise that Proactive was the best skin care I have ever used, whilst I was using it, all my black heads went, my skin was near enough perfect and I wanted that perfect skin back!
So I went online to boots and took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on Proactive. Personally to me it is worth the money if you want clear skin. I have heard that this doesn't work for everyone, but everyone who I know who uses it, it works wonders.
My order arrived on Tuesday, and immediately started using using it, this week bring out any spots which were under the skin (I hate this stage) and from then on it starts to clear your skin.

Step 1
This removes any dirty/oils from your face and includes little soft exfoliating beads

Step 2
Apply this to a cotton pad, then to your face

Step 3
This is a cream consistency which you gently rub into your face, and your finished!

Have you got any skin products which really work or do not work for you ?

Ted Baker body spray

Now that its summer and its getting hotter, I find that perfumes dont stay on as long as I want them too, and can take up too much bag space.
When I was in boots the other day I passed the Ted Baker section and this body spray really stood out to me, only because it was pretty packaging and its was perfect size for carrying around when I'm shopping.
This smell is absolutely gorgeous and lasts a long time without having to spray it again.
The best part about it is that this one was only £2.50!! The larger bottle was £5, but personally I will keep buying the little bottles as its such a convenient size.
I definatly recommend this.

Have you tried any body sprays? If you have I'd love to know what your favourite is, so I can try out some new ones! :)

Sleek- pout polish

When I was in superdrug earlier I popped over to the sleek counter, I had never really noticed it before,  but my friend had a mini one of these pots and it made her lips look really moisturized and the tint of the colour seemed to last so long on her, so I decided to get one.
Theres about 6 different colour shades you can choose from.
When I tried this I thought the shade was little bit to light for me when it was on my lips, it doesn't really have any gloss to it, but it makes my lips feel so soft! The tint does also have a nice sheer pigment to it.I am defiantly going to try the more pinky shades.
I'm pretty sure you can only pick these up from Superdrug and they are £5
I love how its a perfect size for my handbag
The only down side is that it doesn't last for long

Split nail?!?!

Who ever are trying to grow their nails, you would understand the hate and devastation of when one of your nails split and you have to cut it off or file it down.
My pet hates is when my nails splits, I try so hard to grow my nails, they are now at a length where im really happy with them, but every now and then they randomly spilt on the edge.
So a couple of weeks ago my nail split, and there was some nail glue on the table next to me. I looked at the nail glue then at my split nail then grabbed the superglue and put it over my nail where it had split and it helped it from splitting even more! but obviously if your going to do this, be really careful and do not get it on your fingers, because nail glue is an irritant.

Excuse the cheesy dimple smile aha!

Do you have any solutions to stop your nail splitting when its happened? If you have let me know! :)

Yay Goodies

Afternoon everyone!! Hope your all loving this weather!
When I got home monday these had arrived for me, so I've tried them out and now I can tell you what I think of them

Amazon

Macadamia Intense Hair Mask £14 - When I was watching youtube tutorials a few of gurus had raved about this product and said how it really helped their hair become more healthy from where they had dyed it. I love the smell of this product, the consistency is like a thick conditioner, your meant to apply to wet hair and leave it on for 7 minutes, because my hairs quite dry I try and leave it in for 12 minutes. I've tried 4 difference deep/intense hair masks, and this is defiantly the best so far.

Boots
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner £5 - I do prefer the Macadamia Intense Hair Mask but if your looking for a cheaper alternative I would recommend this.

Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo £3 - I love Batiste Dry Shampoo but this did disappoint me a little bit, although it does do what it claims (making your hair big&bouncy) when I sprayed this into my hair it made it feel as if it was dirty, dry and made it difficult for me to brush my hair. I would use this when I go out for a night because it did make my hair huge! But I will be sticking to the original one for during the day.

Lee Stafford Sea Salt Spray £7.49 - Considering now its nearly summer I don't want to straighten my hair all the time. I think the 'beach hair look' is gorgeous and I've read a lot of reviews on this product and thought I would give it a go as all the reviews are positive, and I have to say I love the look it gives my hair!

Umberto Gianni Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle £3.74 - Sadly I suffer from a lack of volume in my hair so I do tend to backcomb my hair a lot which is so bad! So I purchased this hoping I wouldn't have to damage my hair as much anymore! Its a good product for the price and makes your hair look as if it has been lightly backcombed but it doesn't last very long.

Aussie Volume & Conditioning Mousse Flexible Hold £4.89 - I really do like this, its makes second bottle because I lost the first one a the other week. It makes your hair look naturally bouncy, smells amazing and does not make your hair feel as if it has a lot of product in it.

Rimmel Instant Tan Medium £6 - Really please with this! It look extremely dark before you blend it in but it leaves a gorgeous colour, and washes off and doesn't streak when your applying it. Only problem, that when I'm out I have a tendency to spill drinks down myself! So I most likely will be waking up with streaky legs!

Topshop

Moto pebble leigh jeans £38
Petite curve hem tank £10

I will tweet a picture of these when I wear them, the jeans are a gorgeous colour they are a grey/white colour and I love the top its so summery and its thin material and will look cute with shorts.
